DuraCast Is a castable alumina-zirconia-silica refractory which exhibits low thermal conductivity and excellent abrasion resistance. Most refractory materials that demonstrate good thermal conductivity properties have reduced service life due to problems caused by thermal cycling and their inability to resist abrasion. Due to the AZS grain structure of DuraCast, its low thermal conductivity and high abrasion resistance characteristics are elevated to a level unattainable in other heavyweight castable refractories containing alumina grains. >> more info
CeraCast Is a propriety alumina-zirconia-silicate material produced by DuraWear Corporation. It is engineered specifically for handling materials where heavy impact or severe thermal variations are involved and for where large, complex shapes are required. It is produced by melting alumina and zircon at 3300 degrees Fahrenheit and by pouring the melt into molded shapes.
As CeraCast solidifies, it forms an interlocking crystal structure, which gives it superior hardness, impact abrasion resistance, and compressive strength. >> more info
NSIC Nitride bonded silicon carbide (NSIC) is the product of choice when applications require high-impact resistance, combined with high-temperature, thermal shock, and abrasion. DuraWear offers NSIC in almost any custom size and shape to target the area exactly in the configuration needed. >> more info
