CeraCast is a fused-cast alumina-zirconia-silicate ceramic specifically engineered for excellent wear resistance in high impact and refractory applications.
It is produced by melting alumina and silicon in an electric arc furnace at 3650°F. The molten material is then poured at 3300° F into a wide variety of molded shapes and sizes in this foundry-like casting process.
